Mercedes Benz Advertisement

The advertisement is about the Mercedes SLS AMG it is known as a high end sports car from Mercedes Benz. I chose this picture because Mercedes Benz is one of my favorite car manufacturers. I especially chose this picture because the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG is one of favorite cars from Mercedes and one of my favorite cars in general. In this advertisement not only is it showing off the Mercedes SLS AMG but it also says “A cockpit. An engine. Two wings. Is it still a car?”  This phrase has a strong message that is sent to the consumer; Mercedes Benz is advertising that they have invented the perfect car to the point where they compare it to an airplane. Mercedes Benz are suggesting that their Mercedes Benz SLS AMG has the comfort, power, and of an airplane. You can see that they are supporting this statement because the car has its doors open to make it look like an airplane and to show off its impressive interior. The advertisement sends the consumer a message that this car is prestigious and exclusive. Bring the consumer to a level that they have never experienced before. This the message that Mercedes Benz is trying to get across to consumers.

Japan Earthquake

This image was taken from the japan earthquake that happened recently. This earthquake has taken the lives of many people and has temporarily crippled the country due to the heavy destruction that japan encountered when it was hit with the earthquake and tsunami that followed after.  In this particular image you can see all the ruble of what once used to be a city. The image only gives you a little glimpse of what actually occurred during the earthquake but as you can see the impact that it had is devastating. If you look at the person on the left side of the image you can see in his eyes that he is looking at what once used to be the city he lived in. He gives off the impression like he lost everything and is still mesmerized from the whole situation. If you look carefully in the background you can also see a person scavenging through the ruble and someone just looking at what’s left of the destroyed city. This gives you a feeling of what the victims of the earthquake are experiencing at the moment. Hopefully things will start to get better soon for Japan and all the people that were affected by the earthquake.
